We are a fast-growing legal AI platform built for in-house legal teams. Our product helps lawyers draft, review, and analyze legal documents in seconds, with accuracy designed for real legal work. The product has strong customer satisfaction, and the company is scaling rapidly. The engineering team is small and growing fast. Culture is high-performance and AI-native. The team is distributed across the US and Canada, with regular in-person offsites. Team members who live near one of our two primary hubs work in-office Tuesday through Thursday.

About the Role

We are hiring multiple Product Engineers (6 openings) held to the same high bar as our Applied AI and Growth roles. We are looking for strong full-stack engineers from real product companies who have owned meaningful work at startup scale.

You will have end-to-end ownership of features that directly impact thousands of lawyers’ daily work. You will architect across our full stack (React, TypeScript, Node.js) and work directly with the founding team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement full-stack features that blend elegant UX with robust backend systems
• Architect scalable solutions across the stack (React, TypeScript, Node.js) and build and optimize cloud-native systems on GCP
• Own mission-critical surfaces end-to-end, from API to UI, that lawyers use daily to review, draft, and advise
• Turn customer feedback into shippable specs and ship quickly
• Raise the reliability bar: observability, testing, and fallbacks, so complex AI features behave predictably in high-stakes moments
• Mentor other engineers through code review and knowledge sharing

Must-Have Requirements

• 6+ years building production-grade web applications at senior or staff level, with strong modern JavaScript/TypeScript and deep React and front-end architecture experience
• Track record designing scalable backend systems and cloud platform experience (GCP)
• History of making architectural decisions that held up over time
• Track record of strong work at respected product companies combined with real ownership at startup scale

Ideal Background

• Experience at strong product or enterprise companies combined with clear evidence of startup-scale ownership
• Comfort owning features end-to-end from API through UI (not primarily front-end or back-end specialist work)
• Founders, founding engineers, and evidence of rapid promotion are strong positives
• AI/LLM exposure is a plus but not required — this is a general product engineering seat

Bonus Skills

• Modern ORMs (Drizzle / Prisma) and solid API design experience
• DevOps practices and background building secure, compliant systems
• Familiarity with AI / LLM integrations
• Understanding of legal tech or B2B SaaS

Logistics

• Work type: Hybrid / Remote (in-office Tue–Thu if near one of our two primary hubs)
• Compensation: $165K–$350K + equity
• Visa: H-1B transfers supported; no new visa sponsorship
