Product Engineer

About the Company

A very small, founder-led startup that has already solved the hardest part of building a platform: getting people to use it. Hundreds of active users generate thousands of data points every day, and the core product is live, relied on daily, and growing. The foundation is in place. The next phase is about deciding what it becomes, and the first engineers will make those calls alongside the founder, from what gets built to who else joins the team. Decisions are made close to the users, with no layers of process between an idea and a shipped feature.

About the Role

As one of the first engineers, you own the product end to end: the tools our core users rely on to find and submit opportunities, the experience companies have when reviewing and deciding, and everything in between. You do not inherit a roadmap. You work directly with the founder on what to build, how to build it, and who else to hire. Expect roughly 70 percent core user product (dashboard, flows, UX iteration), 20 percent adjacent internal tools and light ops-enabling features, and 10 percent growth engineering.

What You'll Own

• The product end to end: what gets built, how it works, and how it feels
• The core user product, including the dashboard, flows, and UX iteration
• Adjacent internal tools and light ops-enabling features
• Growth engineering across signups, activation, retention, SEO, and billing
  
  

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of full-stack experience building products end to end, comfortable owning a codebase top to bottom
• Fluency in modern web technologies (TypeScript, React, JavaScript) with strong programming fundamentals
• Care for the customer and the business, not just the code you ship
• Close attention to detail in design and interaction, with a bias toward experiences that feel easy and delightful
• Experience at fast-growing, product-driven companies where you figured things out without a playbook, ideally early-stage
• Comfort working without a dedicated PM and talking directly to users, then changing what you build based on what you hear
• Bonus: founding engineer or technical founder experience, a product-led-growth company background, or experience in workflow tools, CRM, or dashboard-heavy B2B products
  
  

Logistics

New York City, in person. Compensation is $170K to $250K base plus equity. Visa: H-1B transfers are supported, and new sponsorship is not guaranteed, so please include your work authorization status in your application.
