Backed by a well-known startup accelerator and several notable venture funds in an oversubscribed seed round, with a small, early team that includes AI product leaders from major technology companies, engineering talent from well-regarded fintech companies, and physician executives.

About the Role

This seat is for strong backend engineers who also have real product sense and act as their own PM, designer, and user researcher. You'll have full product influence and ownership, working daily with the company's executive team, and will ship on the bleeding edge of applied AI at genuine startup speed. This is explicitly not a front-end hire.

What You'll Own

• Backend systems for an AI-native clinic operating system, in a true 0-1 or 1-10 environment
• Product decisions end to end, acting as your own PM, designer, and user researcher
• Shipping at uncomfortable startup speed, with direct ownership of what you build
• Close daily collaboration with the executive team to turn product vision into shipped software
• Using AI tools daily as part of how you build
  
  

What We're Looking For

• 2 to 7 years of professional experience
• Strong backend engineering fundamentals, ideally from 0-1 or 1-10 environments
• Real product and UX taste, a scarce and decisive trait: the ability to understand users and make product decisions without a PM defining every step
• Raw intelligence and the ability to learn extremely fast
• A strong Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field is preferred, though the hiring team has said they specifically want to see exceptional candidates who miss this filter but are clearly cracked, so this isn't an automatic cutoff
• Clear motivation to join a seed-stage startup for passion and ownership rather than compensation, wanting meaningfully more ownership than your current role, and comfortable shipping at uncomfortable speed
• Comfortable building AI products using AI tools daily
• Real venture-backed startup experience at any stage, including scrappy early-stage, or exceptional big-tech experience that clearly demonstrates genuine motivation for startup life (a short, 1-2 year big-tech stint with no other motivation signal is a weaker fit here)
  
  

Logistics

New York City (Manhattan), in person five days a week, with an intense pace (9-9-6). Compensation is $185K to $250K plus 0.5% to 1.25% equity. Visa sponsorship is limited.
