Infrastructure Engineer
Gabriel Talent
About the Company
An AI agent platform purpose-built for one of the most difficult enterprise software ecosystems to build on, a system used by the large majority of Fortune 500 companies for finance, procurement, and supply chain, where off-the-shelf AI coding tools don't work out of the box. The company is well-funded and backed by notable institutional investors.
About the Role
This is the core of the company's current hiring push: building greenfield foundational infrastructure with no off-the-shelf solutions to lean on, including indexing, versioning, authentication, execution, integration, code search at scale, sandboxing, tool calling, and agent orchestration, deployed across many customer cloud accounts. The enterprise reliability, security, and scalability bar is central to the role, which also includes pushing the team's AI-native developer experience forward. Zero-to-one experience is a nice-to-have here, not a must-have: correctness matters more than raw shipping speed for this seat specifically.
What You'll Own
- Greenfield foundational infrastructure with no off-the-shelf solutions available: indexing, versioning, authentication, execution, integration, code search at scale, sandboxing, tool calling, and agent orchestration
- Deployment across many customer cloud accounts, including RBAC, SSO, audit, and data residency, across on-prem and cloud
- The enterprise reliability, security, and scalability bar for the platform
- Pushing AI-native developer experience forward for the team
What We're Looking For
- 3 to 8 years of experience
- Strong platform, infrastructure, and distributed-systems engineering experience, with Terraform and AWS in production (VPC, networking, VPNs, IAM, compute) and solid networking fundamentals
- CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions or similar), with comfort across Python, JavaScript/React, and Go
- A genuine first-principles problem solver who can work out novel, unintuitive problems rather than needing them fully defined
- Real interest in pushing AI-native developer experience forward
- High clock speed, with strong academic or competitive-programming signal a plus
- Time at a high-talent-density organization during its strongest period is a meaningful signal, though not a requirement on its own
- Zero-to-one experience is a nice-to-have, not a must-have, for this specific seat
Logistics
New York City, in-office five days a week (9-9-5). Compensation is $200K to $400K base plus equity. Visa sponsorship is available.
