About the Company

A YC-backed platform for building and managing AI agents that perform high-stakes operational work, starting with logistics and supply chain. The company is already working with several of the largest logistics service providers globally, with strong net revenue retention and high customer retention.

About the Role

This Forward Deployed Engineer is the bridge between customers and the product: using the existing platform to get the most out of it for each customer, and feeding product development and the roadmap based on what customers need next. Roughly 80% of the role is customer-facing (getting deep into how an organization operates, configuring the product, onboarding new use cases, and building smaller features that speed things up), with the rest spent on customer-agnostic, cross-customer work. Importantly, this role never means building customer-specific one-off products; everything is built into the core platform as a configurable lever.

What You'll Own

  • The full lifecycle of high-stakes customer projects: architecture, design, deployment, and continuous optimization
  • Deep engagement with customer executives and teams to understand needs and translate them into technical strategy
  • Becoming a power user of the platform: configuring the workspace, onboarding new use cases, and building smaller features that speed up customer processes
  • Feeding customer and field insight directly into product strategy and roadmap
  • Hands-on support for product reliability

What We're Looking For

  • Strong technical aptitude with experience in a customer-facing engineering role
  • Exceptional communication and a real track record of building strong B2B relationships
  • Can do the right discovery: ask the right questions, find the underlying pain, and build the right solution, rather than wanting to build custom one-off products
  • Can read and write Python, Node, and Next.js, with a solid grasp of data-driven architectures
  • Comfortable solving complex technical problems in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • A high bar cleared either in education (a top-tier university) or in work (ideally a well-known, fast-growing startup, with big tech as a secondary signal), or a track record as an early engineer who clearly helped a startup grow fast
  • Interest in or eagerness to learn the logistics and supply chain industry; prior experience deploying similar systems to similar customers is a strong bonus, not a requirement
  • 2 to 6 years of experience

Logistics

San Francisco, in-office five days a week (9-9-5). Compensation is $160K to $240K base plus 0.3% to 0.7% equity. Visa sponsorship is limited.
