About the Role

This is a product-minded, full-stack engineering seat for someone who wants to own problems from the first customer conversation through shipped product. Engineers here sit with customers, form a view on where the product should go, debate that view with the team, and then ship it. The company recently rebuilt its architecture to support much larger data-movement workloads, which opened a deep backlog of work across durability, security, workflow, and large-scale data problems. You will build on that new architecture, own the outcome, and use AI heavily and agentically while standing behind everything you ship.

What You'll Own

• Features end to end across frontend, backend, infrastructure, performance, and security
• Time with customers, identifying where the product needs to go and driving it back into the roadmap
• Work on the new architecture for large-scale, reliable data movement
• Everything you ship, using AI heavily and agentically while owning and standing behind the result

What We're Looking For

• 4 to 5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong earlier-career candidates considered if they ramp exceptionally fast
• Genuinely full-stack range: you can take a product slice from frontend through backend and infrastructure on your own
• Proficiency with, or the ability to ramp fast on, React, Tailwind, and TypeScript on the frontend, Remix and TypeScript with Node.js on the backend, and AWS and Cloudflare
• A track record of shipping production software end to end and owning the outcome
• Real startup experience, including an early-stage seat where you owned something from start to finish. Backgrounds spent only at large companies are a weaker fit.
• Product engineering experience beyond consulting work
• High agency: you are willing to debate product direction and then own it, and you do not wait for fully specified work
• A history of growing scope in past roles, not a pattern of short stints
• A heavy, agentic AI workflow, with the discipline to own and verify everything you ship
• Genuine interest in the company's mission around data portability and data sovereignty

Bonus

• Experience with large-scale data movement, migration, or systems-of-record integrations

Logistics

New York City, in person five days a week. Compensation is $150K to $250K plus equity. Visa sponsorship is not available.
