About the Company
A company building the operating system for independent dental practices, starting with group purchasing and supply ordering and expanding into AI-powered revenue cycle management. The marketplace already serves thousands of practices, pooling their collective buying power for meaningful savings on wholesale pricing and using AI to cut significant time off the ordering process. The team is based in New York and works hands-on with agentic AI and platform-engineering tools.
About the Role
This is the single, highest-priority engineering hire for a new AI-powered Revenue Cycle Management product: a senior (or junior staff) full-stack engineer with strong front-end skills who will own a large slice of the product surface area as this product launches and scales over the next year. You'll work closely with the team's senior product manager and report to the Director of Engineering for this product line.
What You'll Own
- Significant product surface area on the AI RCM product, from user experience through technical performance, as it prepares to launch
- End-to-end features across the stack (React/TypeScript front end plus backend services) powering agentic workflows for insurance claims, payer communication, and reconciliation
- Close partnership with the senior product manager to shape product decisions and translate user needs into shipped features
- Direct work with an embedded senior billing coordinator to ground the product in real-world billing workflows
- Using AI-native tooling to increase velocity, the team runs on modern coding agents daily
- Collaboration with the Director of Engineering and the rest of the team as the product scales
What We're Looking For
- 4 to 11 years of hands-on, full-stack engineering experience with strong front-end competency in React and TypeScript
- Demonstrated product-minded engineering: a real track record of owning user-facing features end to end, not just executing tickets
- Experience in startup or growth-stage environments (roughly 50 to 1,000 employees) showing real resourcefulness and ownership. Large-company-only backgrounds with no startup or growth-stage chapter are a weaker fit here
- Adjacent-domain experience (healthcare, fintech, insurance or billing, or another operationally complex vertical) is expected, not just a nice-to-have
- A strong track record of promotions matters more here than pedigree, a non-CS or bootcamp background paired with a real shipped-feature track record is a legitimate path in
- A recent layoff is not treated as a concern by this team, and some early-career job movement is fine if it settles into longer, stable tenures
- Bonus: founding engineer or other early-stage (pre-Series B) startup experience, or experience building alongside agentic AI workflows in production
Logistics
New York City, hybrid. No relocation support is available, so you'll need to already be in or near the city. Compensation is $180K to $250K plus equity.
