Share a job to your LinkedIn in one click — now on for everyone

Connect your LinkedIn once, then share any open role to your own feed straight from the job page. The link is tracked, so applicants who come from the post are attributed to LinkedIn automatically.

  • One click from the job page
  • Tracked apply link
  • Posts to your own feed
  • On for every account

Recruiters share roles on LinkedIn every day. Until now that meant leaving SohamRecruit, writing the post by hand, and pasting a link you then had no way to measure.

That is gone. Open a job, click Post to your LinkedIn, and it is out.

The feature was in a small pilot. As of this week it is on for every account.

How to turn it on

You connect LinkedIn once, per person. It is your own account, not a company-wide setting, so each recruiter connects their own.

  1. Go to Profile.
  2. Find the LinkedIn card and click Connect.
  3. LinkedIn asks you to approve. Approve it.
  4. You are back in SohamRecruit, connected.

That is the whole setup. Nothing to install, no admin step, nothing to pay for.

How to share a role

Open any job. In the distribution panel you will see LinkedIn with a Post to your LinkedIn button. Click it.

We write the post for you — the job title, the location, and a short line about the role — and attach a proper link card so it does not look like a bare URL dumped in a status update. You see it before it goes anywhere.

The link in that post is tracked. When someone applies through it, the application is tagged as coming from LinkedIn. You do not have to ask candidates where they saw the role, and you do not have to guess at the end of the month which channel is actually working.

Be clear about what this is

This posts to your own LinkedIn feed, as you. It is the same thing you would have typed out yourself, minus the typing.

It is not a LinkedIn job listing. Those live in the Jobs section of LinkedIn and are sold through LinkedIn's own hiring products. This does not create one and does not pretend to.

It also does not post as your company page. Posting as a page needs a different permission from LinkedIn, and we have not built it yet. If that is what you want, tell us — it is designed and waiting on demand.

We are saying this plainly because the difference matters when you are deciding where a role should go. A post from a recruiter with a real network often does better than a page post nobody follows. But it is a post, not a listing.

The one thing to know: reconnecting

LinkedIn grants access for 60 days and does not let us renew it quietly in the background. Every tool in this category has the same limit — it is LinkedIn's rule, not ours.

So roughly every two months you will need to reconnect. We will tell you before it runs out rather than letting you find out from a post that failed. When it does lapse, the button asks you to reconnect and you are back in about ten seconds.

We would rather warn you early than have you discover it on a Friday afternoon with a role to fill.

Still there: the copy link

If you would rather write your own post, nothing has changed. The tracked copy link is still on every job, and marking a board as posted by hand still works exactly as before. The button is an option, not a replacement.

Getting the most out of it

A few things that make a difference:

  • Write one line of your own above it. The generated text is fine, but a sentence in your voice about why the role is good does better than anything we can generate.
  • Share early. A role posted the day it opens gets more attention than one shared a fortnight in.
  • Do not share everything. A feed of nothing but job posts stops being read. Pick the roles worth your network's attention.

Open a job and look for the LinkedIn button. If you have not connected yet, the Profile page takes about twenty seconds.
