When you are the whole agency, you are the sourcer, the account manager and the back office. Every hour spent filing CVs or rebuilding a shortlist email is an hour not spent placing.
Most independent recruiters run on an inbox, a downloads folder and a spreadsheet. That works until the right candidate for a new role is someone you spoke to six months ago and cannot find.
What slows this desk down
Your best candidates are buried in your inbox
CVs arrive by email, LinkedIn and referrals, and they stay where they landed. When a new role comes in, you re-source people you already had.
The spreadsheet does not remind you of anything
A row does not tell you that a candidate has been waiting on client feedback for nine days, or that an interview is tomorrow.
Enterprise ATS pricing assumes a team you do not have
Minimum seat counts, onboarding fees and annual contracts are built for agencies with an operations manager. A one-person desk needs to start small and pay for one seat.
Shortlists go out as email attachments
You rewrite the same candidate summary for every submission, and the client replies in a thread you then have to track by hand.
What you get
Get every CV into one searchable place without retyping
Bulk upload a folder, import a CSV, connect your mailbox over IMAP with an app password, sync a desktop folder, or save LinkedIn profiles with the Chrome extension. AI reads each résumé into a structured record and catches duplicates.
Find the right person you already know, fast
Open a job and AI ranks your own candidates by fit and location in a fraction of a second, or search in plain English. It only searches your candidates — there is no third-party CV database.
Stop losing track of where each candidate is
A drag-and-drop pipeline per job, interview scheduling with Google Calendar, and optional reminders when a candidate has sat in one stage too long.
Send a client a shortlist without building a report
Share a private shortlist link from any job on every plan — no client login needed. On Starter and above you can also invite the client to a portal where they leave feedback and request interviews.
Pay for one seat, not a team
Pricing is per seat with no minimum beyond your own, so a solo desk pays for one seat and adds a teammate only when it hires one. Cancel any time from Billing.
Where we are the wrong tool
Worth knowing before a trial rather than after one.
- No CV database or job-board sourcing marketplace. AI matching ranks the candidates you bring in; it does not find new people for you.
- Placement invoices, revenue tracking and client portal logins start at Starter, not on the entry Lite plan.
- Mailbox reading uses IMAP with an app password. There is no one-click Gmail inbox connection.
- No native mobile app — it is a responsive web app — and the interface is English-only for now.
Questions
Is SohamRecruit worth it for a one-person recruitment business?
That is who it is built for. You can run it alone on a single seat, starting with a free trial, and add seats one at a time if you grow.
Can I import the CVs I already have?
Yes. Drop in a folder of PDF or DOCX résumés, import a CSV, or connect your mailbox over IMAP. AI parses each one into a candidate record and merges duplicates.
Do my clients need an account?
No. A private shortlist link works on every plan without a login. Client portal logins are available on Starter and above for clients who hire regularly.
What does it cost?
30-day free trial — 1 admin seat, 500 AI ops/month, no candidate-count cap, no card. Then Lite from ₹599/seat/month, cancel any time in Billing.
