SohamRecruit

Switch from another ATS

Move from another ATS in hours, not months

Import the database this afternoon. Pull CVs from the inbox while the team keeps working. Plan to turn the old ATS off in about two weeks. The first move is a CSV plus the résumés you already have — not a months-long integration.

This afternoon

Import the database

Export the candidate list and import the CSV. We match the columns and ask when one is unclear, then import the whole file in batches of 500 rows — you do not split it by hand. A row whose email or phone is already here is the same person; blank fields on that profile can be filled from the file.

While the team keeps working

Pull CVs from the inbox

Connect a mailbox with an app password. SohamRecruit reads PDF and DOCX attachments in the background — Gmail, Outlook and other providers — so new CVs land while recruiters stay in the old system. An admin can sweep older messages from Settings → Email import. Forwarding to the import address on Profile works too. Desktop folder sync watches folders on a computer, not the inbox. A folder of files you already have can go through bulk upload.

About two weeks

Turn the old ATS off

Recreate the open jobs you still need, share a client shortlist, and give the team a normal week in SohamRecruit. Then switch the old system off. That is a rhythm for a small desk. Historical pipeline stages, interview notes and email threads do not move on their own.

Checklist by ATS

Same path for each: export, import, then let the mailbox and desktop folders keep filling the database. SohamRecruit is not affiliated with these products. Side-by-side comparisons live on Compare.

Recruit CRM

  1. Export candidates as CSV or Excel from Recruit CRM.
  2. In SohamRecruit, open Candidates → Import CSV. We match the columns and ask if one is unclear. A large file is imported in batches of 500 rows; you do not split it.
  3. Connect mailbox intake, and point desktop folder sync at the folders where résumés already land.
  4. Recreate live jobs. Sequences, dialer history and pipeline stages stay behind.

Zoho Recruit

  1. Export candidates from Zoho Recruit to CSV.
  2. Import the file and map columns. This is a CSV you upload. It is not a Zoho Recruit, Zoho CRM or Zoho Books API connection.
  3. Reconnect ongoing intake: mailbox (app password), and optionally the Chrome extension for LinkedIn profiles and desktop folder sync.
  4. Recreate open jobs and client shortlists.

Manatal

  1. Export candidates from Manatal as CSV. If the export arrives as JSON, save it as CSV first — SohamRecruit imports CSV.
  2. Import the file. We match the columns and ask if one is unclear, then bring every row across in batches of 500.
  3. Connect mailbox intake, and optional Chrome or desktop paths for new résumés.
  4. Rebuild the client shortlists you still send, then cancel Manatal when the team has moved.

CEIPAL may need a hand

A tidy candidate CSV is not always easy to get out of CEIPAL. If the export is messy, or you would rather not assemble it yourselves, write to us and ask for Concierge Lite. We help with the file and the first import. It is still the CSV path — there is no CEIPAL API connection. See also the Ceipal comparison.

What this page is, and is not

  • CSV import of candidate rows, then résumés from mailbox, forwarding, bulk upload or desktop folders.
  • No API sync with Recruit CRM, Zoho Recruit, Manatal, CEIPAL, or any other ATS.
  • No automatic copy of jobs, pipeline history, emails or client notes.
  • How the product works, on video: sohamrecruit.com/training. Mailbox steps are also in Importing candidates from email.

Questions before you export

Does SohamRecruit sync with my old ATS over an API?

No. The move from Recruit CRM, Zoho Recruit, Manatal or CEIPAL is a file you export and a CSV you import, plus résumés from your mailbox, forwarding address, bulk upload or desktop folders. There is no live API connection to the ATS you are leaving.

How many candidates can one CSV hold?

One CSV, however long the export is. We import it in batches of 500 rows, so you do not split the file. There is no separate candidate-count cap on the account.

What does not come across automatically?

Open jobs, pipeline stages, interview history, email threads, client notes and vendor records. Bring the candidate list and the CVs, then recreate the live jobs and shortlists. The duplicate review on Candidates merges anyone who still appears twice.

What if CEIPAL will not give a clean export?

Ask for Concierge Lite from the contact form. We help with the file and the first import. It is the same CSV path, with a person on our side — still not a CEIPAL API connection.
