Importing candidates from Gmail and WhatsApp

Two intake channels

Resumes that arrive in your inbox or on WhatsApp can flow into SohamRecruit automatically:

• **Gmail scan** — searches your connected Gmail for messages with PDF or DOCX attachments from the last 30 days.
• **WhatsApp** — when a candidate sends a resume to your connected WhatsApp Business number, it is captured automatically.

The review queue

Imported resumes land in the **import queue** (Candidates → Import) instead of becoming candidates straight away. There you can:

• See each parsed candidate with the extracted fields.
• Edit any field inline before creating the profile.
• Click **Create Candidate** to add them, or reject items you do not want.

Setup

Gmail scan needs a connected Gmail account (see "Connecting your email"). WhatsApp intake needs your company's WhatsApp Business credentials configured in Settings.
