Import LinkedIn candidates in one click — new Chrome extension
SohamRecruit now ships a Chrome extension. Open any LinkedIn profile, click Extract, review the parsed fields, click Import. Done. No copy-paste, no tab switching.
If you recruit on LinkedIn, a large part of your day is copy-paste.
You open a profile. You copy the name. You switch tabs. You paste it into your ATS. You go back for the email. Back for the phone. Back for the skills. Then you notice the AI summary field is blank and you have to fill it yourself.
That is not how 2026 should work.
What the extension does
The SohamRecruit Chrome extension sits in your toolbar. When you open a LinkedIn profile, it wakes up and shows you the candidate's name and headline right inside the popup — before you click anything.
When you click Extract & Preview, it reads the full page text and sends it to SohamRecruit's AI parser. In a few seconds you see every field: name, email, phone, location, current company, years of experience, CTC, and skills. The LinkedIn profile URL is saved automatically so you always know where the candidate came from.
If it all looks right, you click Import candidate. The candidate lands in your SohamRecruit with the LinkedIn source recorded. If the same person already exists — matched by email or phone — the extension tells you, so you never get duplicates.
Why this is better than copy-paste
The old way took 2 to 3 minutes per candidate. You could miss fields. You had to remember which tab had the ATS open. If you pulled 15 profiles in a session, you lost an hour.
With the extension: open a profile, click Extract, click Import. Twenty seconds. The AI reads everything. You check it once. You move on.
It also works on candidates who have not posted their email publicly. The AI reads the whole page and fills in what it can. Empty fields stay empty — no invented data.
How to install
The extension is on the Chrome Web Store: install it here.
1. Click Add to Chrome on the store page.
2. The SohamRecruit icon appears in your toolbar.
3. Sign in to SohamRecruit in any tab — the extension uses your existing login.
When LinkedIn requires you to log in or shows a captcha, just log in as normal and then click the extension icon again. It reads the page you have open.
What stays the same
Your other intake channels — Gmail auto-scan, WhatsApp, bulk upload, the public job board — all still work the same way. The Chrome extension is one more lane into the same candidate database. Deduplication runs across all of them. A candidate who mailed their resume and whose LinkedIn profile you later find will still be matched.
Coming next
We are working on Naukri integration so you can post jobs to Naukri and pull applications back into SohamRecruit automatically. India's biggest job board, inside your ATS. We will write a post when it is ready.
