Using the talent pool
Where passive candidates live and how they re-enter active hiring.
What the talent pool is
The **Talent Pool** is your passive bench — candidates who are not currently being considered for any open job. A candidate is in the pool when:
- They have no job applications at all, or
- Every application they have is Placed or Rejected.
It is automatic
You do not move candidates into the pool by hand. Newly uploaded candidates, rejected candidates and placed candidates all land there automatically.
Bringing someone back
The moment you shortlist a talent-pool candidate to a job, they move back into your active **Candidates** list. The pool and the candidates list share the same advanced search, so you can hunt across either with the same filters.
